Salvation Army Camping Newfoundland and Labrador

The Salvation Army in Newfoundland and Labrador operate two camp sites.  Twin Ponds located off the Trans-Canada Highway West of Glenwood and Camp Starrigan is tucked away in the community of Musgravetown.

Both camps provide an enjoyable experience for hundreds of children, youth and adults each summer. We offer friendly services and give all children an opportunity to take part in a variety of activities despite family income, or disadvantages.

When are you coming to camp?  Have a look at the 2019 camping season schedule! Hope to see you at either Twin Ponds or Camp Starrigan this summer!!!

Youth & Family Camps

We offer families and youth a chance to experience an awesome time at camp through our Moms &Tots, Holiday and Teen camps. They offer fun and excitment and a chance to meet new people and make new friends! Find out more by look at the applications for these camps under the Camp Application tab!

Community & Family Services

The Salvation Army’s Community and Family Services respond to the immediate need of emergency assistance.  Among other things, this includes the provision of food and clothing, along with the opportunity for clients to interact and dialogue with caring people.

Community and Family Services is very busy during the Christmas season seeing that no individual or family is without a Christmas dinner or toys for their Children.

In the summer, Community and Family Services sponsor children/youth and families who would like to attend Holiday Camps, Teen Camps and Mom’s & Tot’s Camps but find it difficult to afford a camping experience.

Twin Ponds and Camp Starrigan are both available for renting from May to October. If you want more informtion on how you can book a group, visit the rental page or call (709) 579 2022.
