Health and Safety

The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda hold health and safety to a high standard for all workers, visitors, suppliers and clients and therefore strive to control or eliminate all reasonably foreseeable hazards to person or property.

It is the Salvation Army's policy on health and safety and provincial laws that govern our operations as a camp and therefore it is our top priority that we do our utmost to keep our campers safe. Here are some of the things that we have in place to keep you and your child safe while attending one of our camps: 

• All staff and volunteers are required to have criminal and vulernable sector checks
• First Aid requirement for staff
• Abuse prevention training course for all volunteers and staff
• Yearly health inspection checks
• Practice and procedures on fire safety and emergency, waterfront and safety, missing camper, infection control, etc.
